Step 1: Read FAQs

  • Yes, our schedule is currently open for new clients. However, therapist openings are limited.

  • Your child will meet with their therapist in their natural environment - at home, at school, at the library, or at a local park. There is research that shows occupational therapy in the child's natural environment supports learning, growth, and transference of skills into their everyday lives. We do not have an in-person clinic.

  • If you suspect that your child needs support in developing any of their fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation skills, connecting with an Occupational Therapist and receiving an evaluation will provide clear insight into your child's needs.

  • The frequency in which you will meet for therapy sessions is based on what your therapist determines after the evaluation, but typically once per week.

  • Some children need therapy for a couple of months while other children need therapy for multiple years. The length of treatment is based on each child's individual needs and progress. You should receive a general idea of a timeline after your child’s initial evaluation.

  • If you’re paying out-of-pocket, the cost per session is $180. Bulk discounts are available when purchasing multiple sessions up front. If you choose to use insurance, we will bill your insurance first. Your final out-of-pocket cost will be dependent on your insurance plan, deductible, and copay/coinsurance.

  • Yes, we are an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. We are an out-of-network provider with Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare.

Step 2: Schedule Your Free Phone Consultation

During the 15-minute phone consultation, you’ll get to connect with Jessi Seidman, Owner & Occupational Therapist. You and Jessi will get to know each other, answer your questions - and decide if you’re ready for your child to receive an evaluation (that’s Step 3!)

Step 3: Receive an Evaluation

Receiving a formal evaluation and report provides clear insight into your child's strengths, needs, and what to expect from therapy services.

This evaluation is required to begin Occupational Therapy services or if you’re returning for services after 6+ months of time away from therapy services with Royal Oak Pediatric Therapies. It is not required if you are transitioning from Early Intervention (EI). If you’re already working with an ROPT therapist (a re-evaluation will be completed instead).

For the evaluation session, your child will meet with the therapist in their home, at school, at the library, or a local park. Within one week of the evaluation, you will receive a written report with a plan of care.

The cost is $350. There is no out-of-pocket discount. If choosing to use insurance, coverage will depend on your plan.
